My Valentines Day gift to Jason was tickets to see the Civil Wars at Cumberland Caverns. Every February PBS records the concert and it will air as Bluegrass Underground. This was our first time to go and it was pretty cool. The cave was about 56 degrees but with 500 people inside it felt about 60.
We didn't have to walk very far to reach the Volcano Room.
A chandelier in a cave!!
They had a total of 4 bands including Quick Silver and the Del McCoury band. We were not fans of Del's voice, but Quick Silver we liked.
The Civil Wars. Their voices are amazing together. If you haven't heard their music, I recommend you give them a listen. Oh, and the acoustics in the cave were great.
Jason was very happy with his present! I was so worried about getting cold, but it wasnt bad at all.
