I've wanted to see George Clinton live since I saw him in a movie from the 90's called PCU. It's great, check it out if you havent seen it. So, Sat. night Jason and I made our way down to the Wildhorse Saloon. If you dont know much about George he is the Godfather of Funk and he is about 70 years old. I think I should have gone to one of his concerts about 5 years ago b/c he doesnt have alot of funk left in him! He played most of my faves but right before we left he put his microphone up to the amp for about 5 minutes and it made this horrible noise. Not what I call music! Another plus was that the opening band (I dont know their name) played Purple Rain and it was awesome! They would have made Prince proud.
He literally has about 20 members in the Parlimant Funkadelics and they are all amazing musicians.
