Mt.Elbert is the tallest mountain in Colorado, so we thought why not? Ha ha! Little did we know how difficult it would be! We made it about 1 mile from the peak.
It was 6 miles to the top and in this picture I was at 2 miles. Notice the smile. It was real easy to this point.
If you look closely, you can tell Jason and I are both sucking air! It was terrible. I thought I would die. I will never do it again, but Im glad I attempted it.
We made it to the snowy part. Jason and I both slid down the mountain on our butts!
Sooo tired after hiking 10 miles. NEVER AGAIN!
