Tuscaloosa

First I have to say we are very sad here in TN. Im sure you have all heard about Steve McNair. Its such a tragedy to lose someone so young and who did so much for the Nashville community. Steve will be remembered for years to come and we are praying for his family. So, my bday gift from Jason was a trip to Tuscaloosa. Believe me, he was NOT excited about going but I was ecstatic. I wanted to stay at the Crimson Inn B&B, but that got axed real quick!

I loved all the A's on the streets. Just a reminder that you are walking with winners!

Denny Chimes.

The presidents house. Notice the bride on the left. The campus was really pretty. The only complaint I had was sooo many places were closed for the 4th of July. Even restaurants. It was weird. Jason commented it was like a nuclear bomb went off. Sunday morning most everything was open.

Ah, I could stare at this pic for hours!
I could talk for days about why I love the Bear sooo much, but I wont. I'll only say, he was what most coaches today can only dream of being.

I did NOT want to take or post this pic, but Jason made me. He is such a hater!!!

The Walk of Champions. It leads up to the stadium and lists all 12 of our national championships. Oh, and there is plenty of room to add more!

I went a little crazy in this store, but they were having a big sale.

Very popular hangout during game days.

Enjoying some wine in one of my new cups!

The Bear Bryant Museum. Very cool.

Nick Saban is a lot like Bear in that he is not what I call "a butt-patter." He's not the players friend, hes the coach and he means business. A typical "butt-patter" would be Phil Fulmer. Yes, all the players loved him, but did that win many games? Not in the end. I saw an awesome shirt while in Tuscaloosa. It read "Coach SaBear." Perfect.

I wish I could find one of these Coke bottles.

Lucy spent the weekend with Tom, Linda and Kim. Kim has 2 dogs and I guess they wore Lucy out! She passed out as soon as we got home. Be sure to check out the post below.

No offense, but I am with Jason on the trip to Alabama. He must really love you to take you there! BTW, you can keep Saban. I'll take Les Miles over him any day!! Happy Birthday!
