Well, Lucy got attacked yesterday by our neighbor's girlfriend's Greman shepard. He was on a steel cable bolted to my neighbor's deck, but when he saw Lucy the dog ripped it out of the wood and grabbed Lucy by her back and played wack-a-mole with her for a few seconds before my neighbor could grab his dog and I got to Lucy. She has 1 bad laceration on her stomach so they had to put in a drainage tube and another one on her hip. Both had to be stapled. The neighbors were nice and wanted to do "everything neccessary" and paid for the first vet bill. But "everything neccessary" apparently had a dollar amount attached. Lucy also had a skull fracture above her eye so she needed to be observed and medicated overnight incase her brain started to swell. Apparently that was too much of a luxury and not a neccessity to my neighbors who refused to pay for that. Needless to say Heather was more than pissed and I have locked up all our firearms and sharp objects. Now it's off to court we go! She's doing better today and will get her drainage tube removed in 3-5 days and the staples should come out in a week. No signs of brain or abdominal sweeling so it all looks good for now.
Lucy's head wound and skull fracture.
Her abdominal laceration with drain tube.

Do I need to come up there and help out with the neighbors? I hear UT has a nice farm they can go live on ;)
Also, Kai sends kisses and treats to Lucy and hopes she has a speedy recovery.
That is the saddest thing I have ever seen! Poor Lucy! Yes I would have to go over in the middle of the night and poison that other stupid dog and the owners as well.
Homeowner's insurance should kick in- you need to get that information from them in order to file a claim. Maybe the police will need to get it for you. Make sure you have a report made. Listen to me..... I need to get a life!
Poor Lucy...sorry! Hope it all works out and you get reimbursed. Talk to you soon!
So sad to see her like that. Hope she gets better soon.
Poor Lucy! It is so horrible when your pet is hurt. I have been there. Listen to Mendy. Get a lawyer quick and involve the police or your mean neighbor will never pay the whole bill. Something needs to be done about their dog, too. Once a dog attacks, it will do it again. We will keep her in our prayers. Max had to wear the collar for a few weeks last year; she will get used to it.
