Happy B-day To Me

Better late than never. We planned on going to the Hiawassee River for some rock climbing and hiking on my birthday, but we just now got around to it. Nice views from about 200-300 feet above the river.

My dad's money shot!Quite a compromising position. Thats a pretty nasty fall waiting to happen about 2 feet to his right.

Here's me on the same ledge.

Here's Heather's favorite. We had to cross about a 150 foot drop off and all they had to assist you was this little metal wire. It was fun though, you just had to lean back and hope the wire would hold. Since I quit smoking I've gained a few pounds and this is where I started to worry about it.

Another spot where my added pounds did not come in handy.

A nice shot of a rock overhang near our campsite. And my dad staring off contemplating the cosmos. We get deep out here.

We bring it hardcore bitches. Nasty rock climbs...we'll do it. Long, tough hikes...no problem. Staring a fire by using sticks and a bow...no frickin way. That is some hard crap. No where near as easy as some people make it seem. We got tons of smoke, my dad burned me with a red hot stick, but no ember to start a fire. So what do real men do in this situation...we use a lighter!

All my comments into one post:

1. You look great Jason! The extra pounds are half bad on you and worth it, especially since you stopped smoking! Good for you!

2. If I was your Dad, I'd kick your ass for taking a picture of my "money shot" like that. You dirty *%stard!

3. I can't even cross the street to talk to my neighbor w/o rolling my ankle and hobbling back to my house crying while everyone is watching... much less crawl all over those rocks like that. You're amazingly cool at that!

4.) MOST IMPORTANTLY- Happy Belated BD!

On #1, I meant to say, "the extra pounds ARE NOT half bad on you," I swear.
