Here's me at Lewis' grave. The monument behind me was commisioned by Thomas Jefferson, who was president at the time and also bff with Lewis. The top of the column has been broken off cause Jefferson wanted it to symbolize an unfinished life. Lewis killed himself at 35. He shot himself in the chest, but that didn't work. He then shot himself in the head, but that didn't work either. Finally, 12 hours after he first shot himself he died. That's some shitty luck or marksmanship.
